Baking Soda / Soda-bi-carb
Baking Soda or sodium-bi-carbonate or soda-bi-carb is a salt having Na+ as cation and
HCO3– as anion and molecular formula

Baking Soda is mainly used in cooking, because it reacts with other compounds to release carbon dioxide, that helps dough rise.
Besides cooking it also used as a deodorizer, antacid, cleaning agent etc.
