Boondi ke Ladoo / Motichur Ladoo


For syrup:

  • 2 1/2 cups of Sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups of Water
  • 2 tablespoon Milk
  • 3 cups of Ghee


For Syrup:

  1. Make syrup with sugar and water.
  2. When sugar properly dissolves, add milk and boil again for 5 min.
  3. After that strain the syrup, add colour and boil until sticky.
  4. Add cardamom powder and keep aside.

For Boondi:

  1. Make a smooth batter with gram flour, milk, cardamom powder.
  2. Heat the ghee in a heavy frying pan.
  3. Hold the strainer on top of the frying pan with one hand or with help of other person.
  4. Pour some batter all over the holes.
  5. Fried until it becomes light golden and remove from ghee with another strainer.
  6. Fry all Boondis like this way and keep aside.
  7. After that, dip the boondis in a syrup for a few min and drain the excess syrup.
  8. Spread the boondi in a large plate and sprinkle few teaspoon of water over it.
  9. Cover it and keep for 5-6 min.
  10. After that make ladoos with boondi with moist palms and keep aside.
  11. Decorate the ladoos with chopped almonds and silver foil.
  12. Let it cool and dry, before storing in a air-tight container.
