Pav Bhaji
Ingredients:
- 12 Pav buns
- 100 gm
butter - 2 big onions
(chopped) - 5 tomatoes
(chopped) - 200 gm potatoes
(cut in small cubes) - 1 cup peas
- 1/2 cup carrot
(cut in small cubes) - 1/2 cup beans
(cut in small cubes) - 1/2 cup cabbage
(chopped) - 1/2 cup capsicum
(chopped) - 1 cup
cauliflower (cut in small cubes) - 1 tablespoon ginger
paste - 1 tablespoon
garlic paste - 2-3 green chilies
(chopped) - 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
Masala:
- 3 teaspoon coriander
powder - 3 teaspoon cumin
powder - 3 teaspoon red
chili powder - 4 teaspoon Pav bhajji masala
- Salt according
to taste - 1/2 cup of chopped
coriander leaves (for garnishing) - 2 tablespoon lemon
juice
Preparation:
- Heat the oil in a pan & add the onions.
- Fry till translucent.
- Add tomatoes, salt, add all the powders and fry till the oil floats on
top. - Steam all the other vegetables separately & add them to the onion mixture.
- Add a cup of water & let it cook to boiling consistency.
- With a potato masher keep mashing the mixture & let it cook nicely.
- When all the vegetables are cooked thoroughly garnish with coriander,
lemon juice & butter on top. - Spread the butter on every pav and toast it.
- Serve Bhajji with toasted Pav.
