Nasi Goreng
Nasi Goreng is the national food of Indonesia but like many other foreign dishes nasi goreng is also becoming popular in India. And many of us prepare a dish similar to nasi goreng with leftovers (although unaware of the name nasi goreng). So I am classified it as leftovers according to indian view points and with due respect to Indonesian dishes.
Ingrediants
- 3 eggs
- 10-12 cashew nuts
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon chopped chili
- 1 cup leftover rice
- 100gm small shrimp
- 100gm boneless chicken pieces (small)
- refine oil for frying
- salt according to taste
- chili powder (optional)
Preparation
- Add oil in a pan and heat
- Fry the chicken pieces
- Fry the shrimps
- Fry the nuts and keep aside
- Fry the chopped ginger, garlic and chilis
- Add the leftover rice and fry moderately with salt
- Add the fried chicken and shrimps and keep aside (the stuffing is ready)
- Beat the eggs with salt
- Take a broad tawa, grease it with oil
- Pour the beaten eggs
- When it begins to thicken add the stuffing and fold it
- Remove from the heat.
- Nasi goreng is prepared you can enjoy it with tomato chutney
