Shutki (sutki) machher jhal (dry fish recipe)
100 gm dried loittya fish
(Bombay duck) (cut into medium pieces and soak it in hot water)
100 gm onion (grated)
1-tablespoon garlic paste
1-teaspoon turmeric powder
1-teaspoon chilli powder
Salt according to taste
3-tablespoon mustard oil
1 cup of water
Wash the dry fish properly and keep aside.
Heat the oil in a pan, fry the fishes lightly and keep aside.
Heat the oil in a pan, give onion and fry it until brown.
Add garlic paste, turmeric, chilli powder, salt and mix well.
Add pre-fried fish and water & cook it for 10 min in medium flame .
When the gravy becomes thick, place it in a bowl.
Serve the dish with steaming Plain
