Imli Dal (lentil with tamarind)

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. First wash the dal properly and boil it in a pressure cooker.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan adds the rai, dry red chilli & curry leaves for sauté.
  3. Add the dal and add turmeric powder.
  4. Add the tamarind extract just sufficient to make the dal sour.
  5. Salt and sugar to taste.
  6. Imli dal is ready to serve with steamed rice.
