Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. First marinate the fish with a pinch of turmeric
    powder, salt & few drops mustard oil.

  2. Heat the oil in a pan and medium fry the fish carefully
    and keep aside.

  3. Heat the oil in a pan, add the kalonjee seed and green
    chilli for sauté.

  4. Add potato and brinjal pieces & fry it for few min.

  5. Add turmeric powder, salt and sugar to taste &
    cooked it for 2 min.

  6. Add water and cooked it for 5 min with cover.

  7. Add the pre-fried fish & cooked it for 2 min.

  8. Ilish macher jhol is ready.

  9. Serve it with steamed plain rice.
