Dal – Uchhe (pulses with bitter gourd) (a bitter recipe)

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Drain the water grind the pulses
  2. Make a tight paste of pulses and make some vadas.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the vadas then crush them & keep aside.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan, add rai & dried chilli for sauté.
  5. Add bitter gourd and potato & fry it properly.
  6. Add turmeric powder, ginger paste, salt & sugar according to taste.
  7. Add water and cook it in a medium flame with cover.
  8. When the gravy becomes thick, add ghee, crushed vada on top.
  9. Serve this dish as a first of the meal.
