Chicken Malai Curry
Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken pieces (dressed & washed) (cut in medium pieces)
- 2 onions (chopped)
- 3 cups of coconut milk
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
powder - 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander
powder - 1 teaspoon mustard
paste - 1 teaspoon cumin
powder - 1 teaspoon ginger
paste - 1 teaspoon garlic
paste - 50 gm ghee
(clarified butter) - Salt and Sugar
according to taste
Preparation:
- Heat the ghee in a pan, sauté onion and garlic until onion becomes light brown.
- Add all the spices (coriander-cumin powder, chili powder, mustard paste,
turmeric, crushed garlic, ginger paste) and fry properly. - Add chicken pieces and cook properly.
- Add coconut milk and lemon juice and mix well.
- Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until the sauce begins to thicken and the chicken is tender.
- Serve hot with Rice.
