Mutton Kolhapuri (Mutton in Maharashtra style)

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Marinate the mutton cubed with salt, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste
    and keep it for 1 hour.
  2. Heat 2-3 tablespoon of oil in a pan and add cloves, peppercorn, poppy
    seeds, coriander seeds, aniseeds and
    red chilies and cook till Brown.
  3. Add onion, coconut, tomatoes and till it brown. Cool all the ingredients
    and grind to a fine paste and keep aside.
  4. Heat remaining oil in a pressure cooker and add meat and potatoes and stir
    fry till brown.
  5. Add spices paste, salt and water (if needed) cook it till the meat is
    soft.
  6. When the gravy becomes dry, serve on a plate.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with
    Roti or
    Paratha.
