Doodhachi Kheer (Creamy Rice Kheer)
Ingredients:
- 5 cups of
milk - 1/2 cup of
Basmati rice (long-grain) - 4-5 tablespoon
almond powder - 1 teaspoon cardamom
powder - A pinch of
Saffron - 1 tin Condensed
milk - Sugar to taste
- 1/2 cup of
cashew and almond
(chopped) (for garnishing)
Preparation:
- Wash the rice properly and let it dry.
- Cook rice in a pressure cooker with enough water, till soft.
- Drain the water and mashed the rice properly.
- Boil the milk till it thick and creamy.
- Add condensed milk, mashed rice, sugar, almond powder, cardamom powder and
saffron and cook properly. - Cook till creamy, after that turn off the gas and let it cool.
- Garnish with cashew and almond and serve it.
