Chingri Malai Pispas (prawn & rice recipe)
250 gm prawns (wash & dressed)
300 gm Basmati rice
1 cup of coconut milk
2 cup of chopped onion
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoon garam masala (whole)
Salt & sugar according to taste
4 tablespoon mustard oil
1/2 cup of ghee (clarified butter)
600 ml water
Wash the rice, drain the water and dry it.
Heat the mustard oil in a pan, fry the prawns properly and keep aside.
Heat the ghee in a pan, sauté the bay leaf and whole garam masala.
Add chopped onion and fry until light brown.
Add rice, fry properly and pour it with coconut milk & water, salt & sugar according to taste.
When the rice becomes soft and absorbs the water, add pre-fried prawns and stir it well.
Sprinkle 2 tablespoon ghee on top of rice.
Enjoy the new prawn dish with rice.
