Karaishuti Katla (Katla fish and peas with spicy gravy)

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Clean the fish properly.
  2. Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric and lemon juice for 10 mins.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, fry the fish in it and keep aside.
  4. Add onion paste in the same oil and fry.
  5. Then add cumin, ginger paste and garlic paste and stir well.
  6. Add salt and sugar after stirring well continuously for sometime.
  7. Add a little water and then add the fried fish after the gravy boils.
  8. Add the green chillies and then finally add the peas paste, cover and cook.
  9. When the fish softens garnish with cardamom and serve.
