Pedas (a type of sweet)



Ingredients:

  • 500 gm crushed khoya kheer
  • 300 gm powdered sugar
  • 8 to 10 pistachios sliced
  • 2-3 drops food colour (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon. cardamom powder
  • Cookie moulds

Preparation :

  1. Mix khoya with sugar in a pan.
  2. Heat on low flame, stirring continuously.
  3. Cook it till mixture becomes thickens.
  4. Cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Add cardamom powder & food colour and mix well.
  6. Take a small handful of mixture and press into the cookie mould.
  7. Turn out carefully.
  8. Press 2-3 slices of pistachio in the center.
